The League is NOT for women only! The League of Women Voters has a long and storied past; it sprang from the Suffrage movement and is rooted in tradition. But the League charter was amended in 1973 to allow men to join its ranks and our local league, LWVNEW, has male members (including past and present members of our board).
LWVNEW serves the towns of Bedford, Lewisboro, Mount Kisco, North Salem, and Pound Ridge.
Voting Membership in LWVNEW is open to anyone sixteen years of age or older. Associate (non-voting) membership is available for those under sixteen who wish to join.
